In spring of 2015, the Coachella Valley Corridor launched the construction phase of this $50 Million project. Scope of work consisted of the demolition of the existing Jefferson Street overcrossing and the northbound Indio Boulevard overcrossing. The existing bridges were replaced with a new six-lane overcrossing with bicycle lanes on each side and a sidewalk on the northbound side of Jefferson Street. Southstar provided the Assistant RE,  Roadway and Structures Inspection, QSD/QSP SWPPP Compliance, Caltrans Oversight coordination activities and Caltrans Construction Manual Compliance
Verification. Other responsibilities included the preparation of monthly progress pay estimates in the range of $2 million each, with all necessary
supporting documentation to ensure proper audit compliance and Federal reimbursement to Riverside County Transportation Department.
