The City of La Quinta invested over $13.5 million from various funding sources to construct five new roundabouts in the La Quinta Village where pedestrian, bicycle, golf cart, and automobile traffic exists. The reduced travel lanes and crosswalks added midblock will provide pedestrians with safer access to Civic Center Park, Old Town La Quinta, and the Benjamin Franklin Elementary School. Improvements will be completed in three stages throughout The Village and Cove areas.
Stage 1: On Calle Tampico between Avenida Bermudas and Washington Street

Stage 2: On Calle Sinaloa/Avenida 52 between Eisenhower Drive and Desert Club Drive
- Roundabout #3: Sinaloa/Avenida 52 at Avenida Bermudas
Stage 3: On Eisenhower Drive between Calle Sinaloa and just past Calle Tampico
- Roundabout #4: Calle Tampico at Eisenhower Drive
- Roundabout #5: Eisenhower Drive at Avenida
Southstars’ state-of-the-art technology includes Aerial Photography and 3D Modeling with a 15Mp camera, our certified pilot can fly the area of the project every month to create an interactive 3D model of the workspace. From this model, we generate a 2D orthophoto to scale, which can be printed or used as a scaled background image inside MicroStation.
Public Outreach services included a dedicated website (lqcompletestreets.com), Text to Sign Up (Text LAQUINTAVILLAGE to 22828), Toll-Free Helpline (844.332.3717), email (info@lqcompletestreets.com), construction notices, business maps, business signage, project maps, canvassing, 30-second update videos and project milestones. Our outreach representative attends construction meetings, reviews schedule and develops tailored outreach services for each construction activity.
